If you’re in Park City, Utah – I’d be thinking about doing some fly fishing right now if I was you! This past month has been great fly fishing on both the lower and middle Provo River, only about 15-20 minutes away from Park City.

I always enjoy winter fishing (although it has recently felt like spring weather!). The buffalo midges are coming off strong on both the lower and middle Provo right now. Since the flows are low, fish are stacked up in big deep pools and  those big fish can be easier to land since the current isn’t so heavy. That way you can land some of those big Rainbow and Brown Trout like you see in the pictures below.

While most people are probably coming to Park City to Ski this time of year. You might get sore and want a day off, that’s the perfect day to give fly fishing in Park City a try and I’m sure you’ll catch a whole bunch of fish this time of year since the hatches are amazing right now.
